Who's gonna win it?

After going to see Blue Man Group last Friday with all I can say is that it was awesome. Somehow Program Council managed to get the entire front 3 rows for students, well done. All fun aside my life returned to monitoring politics as usual. With under 44 days until the election begins many Americans are still unsure about who they think will be our next President. On Sunday 9/22 "60 Minutes" held a double interview and asked both McCain and Obama the same questions in sequence to get a clear cut response on the issues from both Candidates. I would have to say that Obama was a little bit more offensive than Sen. McCain but not the less it was a good way to provide insight to uncertain voters.
This race is becoming so tight that Barak Obama has been campaigning in small towns like Reno Nevada. Reno, the self proclaimed “biggest little city,” is a city of gambling, drugs, and prostitution, and not somewhere you would expect to see a candidate visiting twice. His campaign claims that in such a tight race every vote counts, and getting a few thousand more votes from Reno could allow Barak to take Nevada and be one step closer to the white house. There’s still room to move around, in Ohio alone there are an estimated 900,000 people that still have yet to make a final decision regarding who they are going to vote for in this election
John McCain is traveling through Georgia today with the same intention. It appears now that in the Peach State McCain will finish with over a 20 point lead in the poles. After a less than energetic speech delivered at the Republican National Convention, someone needs to get John McCain some power drinks before the first presidential debate scheduled for Friday.

The week in short

What a week it has been. Classes are now in full swing. I'm not saying that I regret taking some of these classes but..... Anyways, this Friday will be the performance of Blue Man group sponsored by Program Council. I will be sure to take lots of pictures to record the event to be remembered forever.

The First Week

So it’s the first full week for the school year and it’s already starting to get busy! I guess before I start my rant I should introduce myself;

My name is TJ, I am a sophomore here at Suffolk if you couldn’t guess from the title of the Blog. I share an apartment with 4 of my friends in the 10 West Residence Hall. I’m also a peer mentor in that building, so if you ever need some help with your school work, just ask. Due to the fact I like to keep myself busy on top of my Political Science required classes I am a Trustee Ambassador for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (giving tours of our lovely campus and helping out in the office) and a Retention Scholar for the Retention services office.

For all of you that were hoping to have your first weekend here be all nice weather before it gets cold and miserable, sorry that you had to deal with that absolutely wonderful reminisce of a tropical storm that graced the city of Boston with its presents on Saturday night. Just think about it this way, if it were snow it would have been in the ball park of 24 inches!

Look forward to a week of sunny days (except for a few)
